HackFwd announces Infogram
Latvian Infogr.am is the latest addition to HackFwd’s startups. Infogr.am let’s you create professionally designed infographics in minutes, and the startup aims to fundamentally change the way people work with visual information online. In a similar fashion that you can snap a photo and share it on your social networks, you can now make a statement or an argument graphically and share it. An infographic can be embedded on a page or shared as a link or an image directly.
“Infographics are a powerful visual communication tool that people have learned to love and share,” says Uldis Leiterts, Infogr.am co-founder. “We want to bring the power of infographics within everyone’s reach.”
Announced at TechCrunch Baltics in Riga today, Infogr.am has now launched in beta their Charts web app that lets users create and customize interactive charts. Below is an example of an interactive chart showing browser marketshare from December 2011 from Wikipedia.
The upcoming Infographics application will feature a rich selection of customizable templates, graphs and charts, a gallery of designs and a marketplace for professionally designed infographic templates. Both applications can be seen at http://infogr.am/
